Breakfast

Café Amano offers fresh baked pastries daily including a variety of croissants, assorted muffins and cookies, biscotti, apple walnut volavente, fresh almond cheese Danish, rich chocolate brownies, vanilla butter cake, and seasonal selections, along with our fresh berry and muesli yogurt parfaits. Cakes and special order tortes can be made to order.

Lunch, Dinner, &, Decadent Dessert Menu

The cuisine, designed by Chef Marco Conte, reflects his background as a third generation restaurateur. Appetizers, such as the Roasted Pepper and Goat cheese Napoleon make a visual impact with layers of roasted peppers, goat cheese mousse, pesto and pine nuts with pastry crust shingles. Sandwiches are called baguettes here, and are served on crusty French bread. Also available are soups and salads, such as the Amano salad, mixed field greens with fresh sliced pears, Gorgonzola cheese, walnuts, sun-dried cherries and Roma tomatoes. Full entrees are plentiful and include ravioli, French cut lamb chops, our signature cherry hazel nut chicken, fresh inland prawns, and many more new specials served daily. Signature desserts, all House-Made, such as Madagascar Vanilla Bean Crème Brulee and Brie and White Chocolate Cheesecake combine rich layers of flavor.

Metra commuters can dash in early morning for a to-go cup of the rich Café Amano House Blend on their way to and from the train station, which is only a few steps from the Café Amano door; or those more disposed to lounge are welcome to linger in our three dining areas and our outdoor patio.

Libations

Wine

Café Amano provides a broad range of wine by region and price point for our guests with over 45 wines by the glass. We also offer a Special Wine List that includes our most reserve wines ranging from Cain 5 to Opus One. We pour a healthy 5 ounces per glass. Specialty Drinks

Café Amano offers our very own specialty drinks that include a long list of Café Amano created martinis and specialty coffee drinks. We also offer seasonal specialties such as the Amano Mojito made with our very own fresh blended mix featuring our patio grown fresh mint and specialty flaming coffee drinks. Return to the top

Spirits

Café Amano does not offer well spirits, but rather premium spirits as our base for all of our creative cocktails. Enjoy a fully stocked bar with interesting aperitifs, cordials, and liqueurs from around the globe. Coffee & Tea

Café Amano has researched many coffee and tea purveyors and has selected Intelligentsia, a Chicago based coffee purveyor / roaster and organic tea trader. Intelligentsia Coffee was founded in October of 1995 on a simple premise: buy, roast, and serve the finest coffees available. They have a fanatical attention to detail which results in distinctive, award-winning coffees that will please the most discriminating palate.

Intelligentsia purchases green coffee from either the most renowned importers or directly from the growers themselves. Their purchases are based on the cup quality of their coffee. Whenever possible, they seek growers and importers that are sociably responsible. It is almost always the case that these individuals produce and offer the best quality. The coffee is roasted daily in vintage German roasters. As a result, you will not find a fresher, more flavorful cup of coffee anywhere.

Intelligentsia Tea Traders is committed to sourcing the best teas the world has to offer. In addition, they strongly support organic farming and seek out growers and importers environmentally and socially responsible.
